World’s 1st 3D printing direct aligner material has been developed, these innovative material and unique technique changing the face of the clear aligner manufacturing, these material offers the creation of highly precise clear aligners with shape memory effect that offers new and improved biomechanical options, To overcome the limitations of the conventional vacuum thermoforming manufacturing method.
3D printed shape memory aligners are more versatile than conventional press type aligners. When heated, the material temporarily increases in malleability, allowing for aligner coverage to the undercut, which in turn increases aligner hold and leads to more effective control of tooth movement.
The aim of this lecture is to illustrate the unique and new characteristics of Direct printed Aligner and how this technique and material will enable new horizons in aligner orthodontics.
