Preserving bone vitality during drilling is crucial for successful osteointegration. Although dentists use copious irrigation during regular drilling, researches proved that viable bone cell may be subjected to death during drilling. Also use of autogenous bone grafting to achieve total bone to implant contact (BIC) will increase success rate compared with any other type of bone grafting. Recently, biological drilling proved to be more superior in preserving bone vitality and provide autogenous bone grafting that can be used in many cases where there is ridge deficiency
